Securing Digital Ledger Technologies-Enabled IoT Devices: Taxonomy, Challenges, and Solutions

With the faster maturity and stability of digitization, connectivity edge technologies, number Internet Things (IoT) devices sensors is flourishing fast in important junctions such as homes, hotels, hospitals, retail stores, manufacturing floors, railway stations, airports, oil wells, warehouses, etc. However, this extremely connected world, security implications for IoT are getting worse with constant rise malicious cyberattacks. The challenge how to secure sensors, services data. blockchain technology, a prominent distributed ledger technology (DLT), being pronounced way forward safeguarding Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG)-based DLT has inherent potential realize benefits better performance. IOTA DAG-based implementation era. Tangle, IOTA’s network immutably records exchange data value. It ensures that information trustworthy cannot be tampered nor destroyed. In work, we depict thorough analysis existing studies IOTA. Then, identify gaps limitations these solution schemes, finally, propose future research recommendations can potentially fill DLT-enabled devices.
